- Use the picture (Ba and the salesgirl in the store) and some eliciting questions to set the scene.
- Ask the Ss to listen to the dialogue between the salesgirl and Ba (twice)
- Ask the Ss to listen and repeat in chorus (Books shut)
- Ask them to repeat in chorus, then in groups (Books opened)

- Ss practise each part of the exchange:
Part 1: “I need some (beef /rice/ apples/ eggs)”
